● Contact Us Click here Timber Frame Buildings - Timber Framed construction is being used with greater frequency in building construction. As a result of shrinkage and settlement inherent of building design, certain lift structures were found to be too rigid which can mean movement around the lift entrances of as much as 30mm on a 5 floor lift. Our structures are designed for timber framed buildings where vertical movement due to shrinkage may cause problems when combined with a conventional lift shaft. Our structures incorporate slipper plates which allow the building to moved independently of the lift structure. This should prevent stress on the building, which may in turn damage the lift and result in expensive repair and any re-decoration work.
Notes:
1. The
structure requires
stabilising in the pit,
all floor openings and
headroom. (Loading
details are available).
2. The structure will require a cladding enclosure by others if no lift shaft is provided. 3. Loadings and fixing details are available upon request. This page is for guidance only. We cannot accept responsibility on the construction integrity, suitability or composition of the part of a building into which a structure lift is installed.
